In 2006, at the age of 39, Joanne Shaw was awarded several prestigious international POETRY awards for Her Song Lyrics and was invited to read to Pulitzer and Nobel Prize-winning authors.
The International Library of Poetry informed Joanne Shaw, by letter, in 2008, "Your work is included in the same discussions as the greatest poets of our time, and you should be extremely proud of this accomplishment."
