PART I:
There's a black bird,
Sitting out my window,
Watching the other birds fly by.
He's sitting,
Resting on a lamp post,
Wanting to be part of the sky.
Another bird soars past him.
The first bird seems to watch him.
Does he even know he can fly?
PART II:
There's a goldfish,
Swimming in a bathtub,
Waiting for a boy to clean her bowl.
She's swimming
Circles that she's used to.
Doesn't seem to know the bathtub's full.
Another circle's made by her.
The other water stays unturned.
She's still swimming the only way she's learned.
